Summary:Dr. Anjali Oberai graduated from the University of Ottawa in 1993 and completed her family medicine residency at the University of Calgary in 1995. She has been a rural generalist since graduating, starting with locums in rural Alberta, Ontario and Nunavut. In 1998, she and her husband made their home in Wawa, ON and she has worked as a rural generalist in a team-based environment since then. Her clinical work includes emergency medicine, minor procedures, hospitalist medicine, stress testing and office-based practice. She also has an interest in antimicrobial stewardship in the rural setting. Dr Oberai is active at NOSM U where she is the co-section chair for FM and the past Enhanced Skills FM Program Director. When not at work, she can be found exploring the outdoors and enjoying all that rural life has to offer.
