Description
Summary:The study of the present felt to evaluate the application of GnRH analogs or antagonists as immunosuppressive modulated effects, also hormonal dynamics, testicular morphometry and its incidence in gonadal histology. Eight male canines were selected to different races and their ages between 1 and 10 years, divided in two experimental groups. From the treatment, blood samples were obtained before each application of the biologic anti-GnRH for hormonal analysis of LH, FSH, and testosterone, in addition to the measurement of testicular morphometry and histology. The treatment of the immunocasts consisted in applying to each of the individuals an inoculation at the same dose (2ml) of the biological respectively by the subcutaneous route. LH, FSH and Testosterone were analyzed before and after application of the biological in the treatment group and the control group. In addition, gonadal tissue samples were collected for histopathological analysis. For the interpretation the results of the experiment, statistical t student analysis was used to detect the existence of significant differences between the means of a given quantitative variable in two groups of data. In relation to the concentration dynamics of male sex hormones FSH, LH and testosterone those showed slight differences in their serum concentration. However, to generate the effect a second inoculation is necessary, established that the familiar canis lupus is dose dependent and its frequency of application is determinant to generate modulating effect of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis; Thus, the vaccine would demonstrate its effect from the second dose. Talking about testicular morphometry, a very slight reduction in testicle size, low testicular hypotrophy and testicular diameter is evident. Microscopic analysis shows very few differences in hypotrophy, little reduction in the major and minor diameter of the seminiferous tubules. Finally, the conclusion of the research present the application of analogues or antagonists of GnRH determines a ...
