Summary:A Virtual Learning Object designed within the framework of the curricular axis: Organization, foundation cycle of the Bachelor's Degree in Biology for the teaching and learning of Biological Diversity of the Past in times of pandemic, whose objective is to know the main evolutionary characteristics of chondrichthyan fishes from the species Antarctilamna prisca, from the phylogenetic trees with seventh grade students of the National Pedagogical Institute is presented. For which, a methodology was developed in three stages: Foundation, stage where a documentary consultation of the standards and curricular guidelines of the Ministry of National Education of Colombia was made, in order to know the school grade where the subject is addressed, and background on TIC in education, as a didactic and pedagogical strategy; Design and development, in this stage a documentary review of scientific articles and grade works related to the teaching of Biology was carried out to establish the conceptual elements of the OVA. Likewise, didactic activities were designed through the following platforms: Educaplay, Powtoon and Diagrams.net, which were linked to the Exe-Learning platform from which explanations close to the scientific discourse are sought; For the Validation and adjustment stage, the evaluation for OVAs proposed by Mejia (2012) was used. Thus, the use and implementation of TIC in the classroom in times of pandemic led to the emergence of didactic and pedagogical resources such as the OVA, essential in the teaching of Biological Diversity and its associated concepts.
