Summary:The present work seeks to reflect on the contributions that zooarchaeological analyses have made to some of the discussions that the Antarctic Historical Archaeology Project has been developing through its years of research. In order to achieve this, the feeding consumed during the voyages in search of fur and elephant seals. Thus, it is intended to examine how the different alimentary phases of obtaining, preparing and consuming would have developed for each moment and type of food and which consequences in the forms of relationship between people and contexts would have had. Documents of that period and analyses of one of the campsites located in Byers peninsula of the Livingston island (South Shetland, Antarctica) were considered. El presente trabajo busca reflexionar sobre los aportes que los análisis zooarqueológicos han realizado a algunas de las discusiones que el proyecto de Arqueología Histórica Antártica viene realizando a lo largo de sus años de investigación. Para esto, se estudia la alimentación de los grupos loberos colocando el énfasis en los diferentes tipos de alimentos consumidos durante los viajes en busca de las colonias de lobos y elefantes marinos. De esta forma, se pretende examinar cómo se habrían desarrollado las fases alimenticias de aprovisionamiento, preparación y consumo para cada momento y tipo de alimento y qué consecuencias en las formas de relación entre las personas y los contextos habrían tenido. Fueron considerados documentos de la época y el análisis de uno de los sitios localizados en la península Byers de la isla Livingston (Shetland del Sur, Antártida). O presente trabalho procura refletir sobre os aportes que as análiseszooarqueologicas tem realizado a algumas das discussões que o projeto de Arqueologia Histórica Antártica vem realizando ao longo dos anos de pesquisa. Para isto, a alimentação dos grupos lobeiros é estudada colocando ênfases nos diferentes tipos de alimentos consumidos durante as viagens em busca de colônias de lobos e elefantes marinhos. Desta forma, se pretende examinar como teriam se desenvolvido as fases alimentares de aprovisionamento, preparação e consumo para cada alimento e que consequências nas formas de se relacionar entre as pessoas e contextos teriam acontecido. Foram considerados documentos da época e a análises de um dos sítios localizados na península Byers da ilha Livingston (Shetland do Sul, Antártica).
