Summary:Uvod: Anksiozne motnje so ene izmed najpogostejših duševnih motenj, ki se pojavijo v času odraščanja in lahko posamezniku poslabšajo kakovost življenja. Obdobje adolescence je polno različnih sprememb na fizični in psihični ravni, zato se nemalokrat zgodi, da mladi trpijo za različnimi motnjami, ki pa jih sami in okolica ne prepoznajo. Pomembna je ozaveščenost mladih o anksioznih motnjah, koliko se te motnje pojavljajo v našem prostoru in kako s pomočjo zdravstvenega varstva, zdravstvene vzgoje in promocije zdravja zmanjšati njihovo pojavnost. Namen: Namen diplomskega dela je raziskati pojavnost anksioznih motenj pri mladostnikih, koliko se te motnje pojavljajo, koliko so ozaveščeni o anksioznosti in anksioznih motnjah. Metode dela: Vzorec je zajemal dijake 4. letnika Srednje zdravstvene šole Ljubljana. Kot raziskovalni instrument je bila uporabljena anketa (Burnsov kontrolni seznam anksioznost). Pridobljene rezultate smo s pomočjo programa MS Excel prikazali opisno in grafično. Rezultati: V raziskavo je bilo zajetih 120 dijakov, od tega so večino vzorca predstavljale ženske (72 %). Rezultati so pokazali, da se je večina dijakov že srečala z anksioznostjo in anksioznimi motnjami. Razprava in zaključek: Pri anketiranih je prisotna zmerna anksioznost (24,4 točke). Pridobljeni rezultati so lahko v pomoč pri spremljanju anksioznosti in njenega pojava med mladostniki in bodočimi zdravstvenimi delavci. Introduction: Anxiety disorders are one of the most common mental disorders. Typically, they begin to manifest in the phase of growing up, and may have a negative impact on one’s quality of life. Adolescence is full of physical and psychological changes, and it is not uncommon for young people to suffer from different disorders, which neither they nor their surrounding are able to identify. It is important to raise the awareness of young people regarding anxiety disorders, their occurrence in our setting, and about the methods of reducing their prevalence through health care, health education and health promotion. Purpose: Our goal was to examine anxiety disorders in young people, specifically 4th year students of the Secondary School Of Nursing Ljubljana. At the same time we wanted to investigate the prevalence and awareness of youths about anxiety and anxiety disorders. Work methods: The sample comprised 4th year students of the Secondary School Of Nursing Ljubljana. The research instrument applied was a two-part survey (Burns Anxiety Inventory). The results were presented descriptively and visually in an Excel spreadsheet. Results: The survey included 120 of which most of them were women (72 %). The results indicate that most students have faced anxiety issues and anxiety disorders. Discussion and conclusion: Amongst the respondents borderline anxiety (24,4 points) is present. The obtained results can help us monitor anxiety and its occurrence among the young population and among future healthcare workers.
