Description
Summary:International audience The Arctic region has recently become a subject of dispute between several neighboring countries, including the most important from the perspective of their area , such as Canada and Russia. The differences on the delimitation of borders in the Arctic Ocean are supplied by economic issues related to potential hydrocarbon reserves and other geopolitical issues. In this context, the Russian government is developing a variety of discursive strategies to build different images directed to the outside western recipient and also to the Russian public . The different forms of russian political discourse are studied in the present article attempting to highlight the links between discourses and practices of Russian power in the field of Russian-Canadian relations on borders in the Arctic .
