Summary: | The Newman Western Canadian Cookbook Collection was established in the fall of 2014 as a physical collection located within the UFV Library's Special Collections. Items from this collection are being scanned (as copyright permits) and included in HarvestIR. The goal is to build a solid research collection of culinary titles that will be a resource for scholars examining food ways and preferences, agricultural practices, gender roles and material culture, to name just a few. Geographically, the collection covers culinary titles from the provinces of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia as well as the Yukon and Northwest Territories.
