Description
Since September 2007 to August of 2008, a study was carried out in the fungus spore of the urban city of Florencia, Caqueta (Colombia). The sampling was done using a portable spore detector (Burkard Personal Culture), which allows introducing a Petri plate with a culture medium (MEA). Periodicity of sampling was monthly, each being carried out in 80 stations. Results show a total of 351.070 ucf/m3 during the year of the screening. The highest concentration of viable fungal propagules was found during the first 6 months of the screening, starting in September until February (dry season). January was the month that reached the highest concentration of 43.810 ufc/m3, while the lowest concentration was found in August with 17.050 ufc/m3. Out of the total samplings 54 fungal types or taxa were identified, corresponding to 20 genera, and 4 morphotypes. The most frequent fungus’ generus present in the city of Florencia was Aspergillus with 16 taxa or different species, followed by Penicillium with 10 species; Fusarium with 3 species; Alternaria, Trichoderma, Curvularia and Acremonium, each one with two species. Additionally, the influence of the meteorological parameters on concentrations (ufc/m3) and genera/taxa was analyzed. The resulting correlations show a positive relation between the average temperature and the solar radiation hours, while a negative relation between the relative humidity and precipitations.
