Description
Summary:Expedition 306 was based on two separate proposals. The first of these objectives, shared with Expedition 303, was to establish a Neogene-Quaternary chrono-stratigraphic template from strategic sites in the sub-polar north Atlantic to elucidate sub-millennial- to orbital-scale phasing of environmental change. The second aim was to install a CORK (circulation obviation retrofit kit) to reconstruct bottom water temperature change on time scales of decades to a century in the Norwegian Sea.
