There is an commercially high used area of city Rovaniemi contra to is building of observatory with its program defined. Contemplation, silent, relaxes, concentrations and so on are offered in relation to observe the aurora borealis. The building is formed by motion, pointed track which ties other rooms. Archetypally filings of safety against surroundings forest, conditions and activity of nearest city are created by shape of closed square and easily formed material. Building is firm and constancy in contrast of fleeting phenomenon of aurora borealis by its elementariness. Thanks to it these phenomenon is placed into concrete space-time. Observarvotoř je navržena jako jedna budova, která do sebe zahrnuje i ostatní předpokládané funkce (restaurace, malý hotel, sauna), kromě planetária, které jsem z návrhu cíleně vyloučila. Budova se svým programem vymezuje vůči komerčně exponovanému městu Rovaniemi, nabízí prostor ke zklidnění, soustředění, kontemplaci ve vztahu k pozorování polární záře. Budova je formována pohybem, směřující cestou, na kterou jsou jednotlivé prostory navázány. Půdorysem uzavřeného čtverce a jednoduše formovanou hmotou zakládá archetypální pocity bezpečí před okolním lesem, počasím, ruchem města. Svou jednoduchostí je stavba pevná, stálá, nehybná v kontrastu k pomíjivosti pozorovaného jevu, který tak umísťuje do daného časoprostoru.
