Description
Summary:The female of Lathroplex anthreni sp. n. (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae, Campopleginae) is described from southern Finland and the Karelian Republic, Russia. The new species is compared with L. clypearis Thomson, 1887, which is presented as new to Finland. Experimentally the female was found to attack larvae of Anthrenus museorum (Linnaeus) (Coleoptera, Dermestidae). The genus Lathroplex Förster is regarded as a distinct genus, and not a synonym of Campoplex Gravenhorst, because of the different host order, Coleoptera versus Lepidoptera.
