Description
Summary:The increasing melting of the Arctic sea ice during the summer triggered the publication of several scenarios depicting increasing traffic along Arctic sea routes between Europe and Asia. These scenarios rest upon their shorter distance through the Northwest and Northeast Passages. But in fact, to what extent are shipping firms interested in developing arctic traffic? The goal of this article is to expose the results of a survey conducted with shipping firms. It underlines that these companies have a limited interest in Arctic shipping.
