Summary:The aim. The article considers regional identity in the prose of the Krasnoyarsk Territory writers. The object under consideration is the stories, the novel, and the short stories by A.M. Bondarenko, devoted to the writer’s native place; the subject under consideration is the image of taiga as the most important marker of regional identity. Methods and methodology of the work. The basic research methods are hermeneutic, structural semantic, comparative methods. The results. The article shows that taiga as a marker of regional identity in the prose by A.M. Bondarenko, on the one side, corresponds to the common stereotype of Siberia, emphasizing the dichotomy of ‘friend-or-foe’, and on the other side, its semantics is defined by the specificity of the region. The sphere of the results appliance. The results of the research can be used in the special education courses in regional literature.
