| Summary: | The purpose of this article is to show the evolution of the Norwegian Navy and the Norwegian maritime doctrine in the context of the protection of state’s interests in the Arctic region. The growing political and economical competition in this region of the world has forced Norway to expand naval power projection capabilities in the far North. What is important, Norwegian security policy is set in the context of highly realistic thinking. Zmiany geostrategiczne w regionie Dalekiej Północnej wymusiły na Norwegii rozbudowę potencjału morskiego, umożliwiającego ochronę norweskich interesów w tej części świata. Rozwój norweskiej marynarki wojennej prowadzony jest od początku lat dziewięćdziesiątych dwudziestego wieku w sposób przemyślany, systematyczny i konsekwentny zarazem. Składa się na niego nie tylko pozyskanie nowych rodzajów systemów walki morskiej, ale przede wszystkim głęboka redefinicja norweskiej doktryny morskiej w odniesieniu do obszarów arktycznych. W efekcie prowadzonych działań Norwegia posiada dziś jedne z najbardziej skutecznych w Europie instrumentów projekcji siły morskiej. |
