| Summary: | The article presents an assessment of the Russian Arctic policy in the aspect of international security, referring to the economic and security strategies of Russia and the USA. The current US-Russia relations in the area of competition for influence in the Arctic are presented. The Russian political and economic projects in the Arctic were pointed out. American military and military involvement in the area of raising defense readiness in the High North was presented. The increase in political tension caused by the political and military activity of Russia in the Arctic at the turn of recent years was emphasized. Attention was drawn to the growing importance of the political, economic and military area of the Arctic Ocean basin, especially in the context of dynamic climate change in the Arctic and access to energy resources and new sea routes. W artykule przedstawiono ocenę rosyjskiej polityki arktycznej w aspekcie bezpieczeństwa międzynarodowego odnosząc ją do strategii gospodarczych i bezpieczeństwa Rosji oraz USA. Przedstawiono bieżące relacje USA – Rosja w obszarze rywalizacji o wpływy w Arktyce. Wskazano na rosyjskie projekty polityczne i gospodarcze w Arktyce. Przedstawiono amerykańskie i rosyjskie zaangażowanie wojskowe i militarne w obszarze podnoszenia gotowości obronnej na Dalekiej Północy. Podkreślono wzrost napięcia politycznego wywołanego wojskową aktywnością Rosji w Arktyce na przełomie ostatnich lat. Zwrócono uwagę na wzrost znaczenia politycznego, gospodarczego i militarnego basenu Oceanu Arktycznego, zwłaszcza w sytuacji dynamicznych zmian klimatycznych w Arktyce i dostępu do zasobów energetycznych oraz nowych szlaków morskich. |
