Summary:The North Atlantic Alliance must absolutely fulfill its role in ensuring energy security, because it has an enormous strategic potential the ability to protect the infrastructure and the transit area in cooperation with partners in the event of a crisis situation. For this reason, the Alliance should fulfill their mission primarily with military means. Recent events show that in the European Union, the US and other countries have a great turn in the development of energy connections with Russia and a deep one Atlantic towards use new types of energy resources. NATO member states have all the possibilities to successively control this process, strengthening transatlantic bond despite the belligerent attitude of Russia. The results of this will contribute to promote an open and transparent global management and trade system energy.
