Summary: | International audience Located at the interface of the well-established maritime roads from the end of the second Iron Age, the islands are privileged that have beenput to good use in many ways. Despite their remote locations, they remain integrated in a territorial organization whose continent is the mainactor. In order to control, organize and maintain small and long-distance trade routes, fortified island have been developed at highly strategicpoints. |
