Summary: | Prairies, prés, pâturages et espaces boisés caractérisent aujourd’hui le paysage de l’Espagne cantabrique et nord-atlantique, de la Bidassoa au Minho, contrastant avec l’Espagne intérieure dominée par les plateaux céréaliers. Mais le paysage est un produit de l’histoire, et donc changeant, et c’est ainsi que dans presque toute la Galice, une bonne partie des Asturies et certaines zones de Cantabrie, les vastes étendues de prés et pâturages sont, pour leur plus grande part, un produit de l’épo. Prairies, meadows, pastures and wooded areas today characterise the landscape of Cantabrian and North Atlantic Spain, from Bidassoa to Minho, contrasting with Inner Spain dominated by cereal plateaux. But the landscape is a product of history, and thus changing, and so in almost the whole of Galicia, a large part of Asturias and certain areas of Cantabria, the vast areas of meadows and pastures are, for the most part, a product of the epo.
