Summary: | The Forest Nenets are a small indigenous people of Western Siberia, who lives on an exploited and desired territory for the oil industry. This article studies this small community's identity expressions and reflects on the role of language in this context. It is clear that the main identity marker, which distinguishes the Forest Nenets from the others, is their way of life - a way of life very much threatened by industrialisation. But what role plays the language? What relations exist nowadays between Forest Nenets language and Forest Nenets identity? National audience Petit peuple de Sibérie Occidentale, les Nénetses de forêt vivent sur un territoire exploité et convoité par les industries pétrolières. Cet article étudie les manifestatations identitaires de cette petite communauté et s'interroge sur le rôle qu'y joue la langue. Il est clair que le premier marqueur qui les distingue des autres est le mode de vie, qui est pourtant rudement mis à mal par l'industrialisation. Quel rôle joue la langue dans cet ensemble? Quelles sont aujourd'hui les relations, chez les Nénetses des forêts, entre langue et identité? |
