Description
Summary:The Forest Nenets are a small indigenous people of Western Siberia, who lives on an exploited and desired territory for the oil industry. This article studies this small community's identity expressions and reflects on the role of language in this context. But what role plays the language? What relations exist nowadays between Forest Nenets language and Forest Nenets identity?
