Summary:This annual survey, fielded October to December 2009, was conducted in 33 countries to solicit public opinion on social and political issues. Respondents were asked whether they think 2010 will be better than 2009, whether the economy will be better in 2010 than it was in 2009, and whether unemployment will increase or decrease in the next 12 months. They were also queried on whether they thought that their present job was safe and how long they thought it would take to find a new job if they lost their current one. Demographic information includes sex, age, household income, education, employment status, and religious affiliation.
