| Summary: | Opinnäytetyön aihe ja tavoitteet: Opinnäytetyöni aiheeksi valitsin yksinhuoltajaisät päiväkodin asiakkaana. Pyrin opinnäytetyössäni selvittämään, mitkä valmiudet lastentarhanopettajilla on vastata kasvatuskumppanuuteen sekä mitkä valmiudet lastentarhanopettajalla on vastata yksinhuoltajaisien tarpeisiin. Selvitin myös onko eroa kasvatuskumppanuudessa, kun sen toisena osapuolena onkin isä. Vastauksia tutkimuskysymyksiini hain haastattelemalla lastentarhanopettajia sekä perehtymällä lähdekirjallisuuteen. Teoreettinen viitekehys: Teoriaosuus koostuu vanhemmuuteen, isyyteen, yksinhuoltajuuteen, päiväkotiin sekä kasvatuskumppanuuteen liittyviin seikkoihin perehtymisestä. Tätä täydentävät yksinhuoltajaisien kokemukset ja lastentarhanopettajien haastatteluista saatu tieto. Toteutustapa: Opinnäytetyöni on kvalitatiivinen eli laadullinen. Opinnäytetyö etenee perinteisesti teoria osuudesta metodologiseen osuuteen, jota seuraa analyyttinen osuus sekä lopuksi pohdinta. Haastattelin neljää lastentarhanopettajaa kolmesta eri päiväkodista Keminmaassa kesällä 2014. Johtopäätökset: Haastatteluista ilmeni, että lastentarhanopettajilla on hyvät valmiudet kasvatuskumppanuuteen. Tämä valmius on myös parantunut aiempaan koulutukseen verrattuna, koska sen merkitystä korostetaan nykyään enemmän. Kasvatuskumppanuuteen kuitenkin saa varmuutta vasta työelämässä kokemuksen kautta. Valmius vastata perinteisestä poikkeavan vanhemmuuden tarpeisiin on kuitenkin heikompaa. Itse täytyy olla valveutunut seuraamaan alaansa liittyvää tietoa, jotta pysyy mukana. Koulutuksessa olisi myös hyvä panostaa tähän enemmän. The Topic and objective of the thesis: As the topic of my thesis I have chosen single fathers as day care centre clients. The aim of my thesis is to figure out the facilities kindergarten teachers have to respond to educational partnership and the needs of a single father. I am also studying whether there is a difference in educational partnership when the other party is a father. To get answers to my questions I interviewed kindergarten teachers and familiarized myself with source books. Theoretical context: The theoretical part is based on parenthood, fatherhood, single parenthood, day care centre and their relations with educational partnership. It is supplemented with the experiences of single fathers and the information received from the interviews with kindergarten teachers. Execution: My thesis is qualitative. The thesis proceeds conventionally from the theory to the methodological part followed by the analytical part and finally ending with reflection. I interviewed four kindergarten teachers from three different day care centres in Keminmaa during summer 2014. Conclusion: What I found from my interviews was that kindergarten teacher are well facilitated for educational partnership. This ability has also improved compared to prior education, since the meaning of it is nowadays more emphasized. The confidence in educational partnership is gained only through the experiences in working life. The facilities are weaker when responding to the needs of parenthood deviant from the traditional. One must be aware to follow the information related to one`s profession to keep up. It would be important for education to invest more in this.
