| Summary: | Työn tavoitteena oli tehdä aikaa säästävä projektityökalu rautatiemaailmassa työskenteleville. Projektityökalun tärkein tehtävä on vapauttaa projektihenkilöstön aikaa tuottamalla yhdenmukainen kaavio nopeusrajoituksista pelkät lähtötiedot syöttämällä. Työ aloitettiin aloituspalaverilla tilaajan kanssa. Aloituspalaverissa linjattiin ohjelman toiminnalliset tavoitteet. Tämän jälkeen päätettiin ohjelmistoalusta jolle ohjelmaa alettiin kirjoittaa. Ohjelmistoalustaksi valittiin Java, sen joustavuuden ja yhteensopivuuden takia. Ohjelmistoalustan valinnan jälkeen projekti eteni omalla tahdillaan yhteistyöpalavereiden tahdittamana. Työn tuloksena saatiin aikaiseksi demoversio, joka kattaa Pohjois-Suomen kunnossapitoalueet ja jota on helppo lähteä jatkojalostamaan kohti täysin valmista tuotetta. The goal of the thesis was to create a time saving project tool for the people working in the world of railroads. The main job of the tool is to save time and produce a congruent diagram of speed limits just by entering the raw data. The project started with an initial meeting with the customer. The functional goals of the program were set on that meeting. After the initial meeting the software platform was selected to be Java. Java was selected because of its compatibility and flexibility. After the selection of the software platform the project started to roll on its own weight paced by meetings with the customer. Result of the thesis was a demo-version of the program that covers the maintenance area of Northern Finland.
