| Summary: | Opinnäytetyö tutkii ja tarkastelee tekijälle opintojen aikana kehittynyttä työtapaa ja hänen teatteri-ilmaisun ja teatteritaiteen tekemisen työvälineitä esittävän taiteen kentällä. Opinnäytetyön tutkimuksen keskiössä on luova taiteentekemisen prosessi sen ideasta valmiiksi esitykseksi ja tämän prosessin reflektointi ja pohdinta sekä prosessissa käytetyn devising-työmenetelmän arviointia. Tekijä valitsi Devising- työmenetelmän, koska siinä korostuu prosessin merkitys ja ryhmälähtöisyys ja ryhmän moniäänisyys. Devising- työmenetelmällä on mahdollista tehdä aiheensa näköistä kollektiivista teatteritaidetta. Opinnäytetyön sisältää myös sen taiteellisen osan ITKU- nimisen esityksen esittelyn sanoin ja kuvin ja esityksen kohtauksiin sisältyvien erilaisien merkkien ja symbolien analysoimisen ohjaajan näkökulmasta sekä erittelyn tekijän ohjaajana käyttämistä erilaisista impulssimateriaaleista ja teatterityön instrumenteista eri kohtauksien synnyttämisessä. ITKU- esitys oli poikkitaiteellisen työryhmän luoma monimediainen nykyteatteriesitys, jota esitettiin viisi kertaa Helsingissä Zodiakin uuden tanssin keskuksen tanssistudiossa. ITKU- esitys pohjautui karjalalaiseen itkuvirsi ja äänellä itkemisen perinteeseen. Esitys oli tutkielmaa itkusta tässä päivässä ja miten tämä perinne voisi elää myös ei-karjalalaisen nykyihmisen elämässä ja kokemusmaailmassa sekä siitä millaisia muotoja nykyitkut voisivat saada kohdatessaan nykykulttuurin ilmiöitä ja sen monimediaisuuden sekä nykyteatterin tekemisen työmuotoja ja taiteen tekemisen tapoja. Tekijä tutki työssään myös sitä, että soveltuvatko itkut ja itkuvirsiperinne taide esitykseen. Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena on kehittää tekijän ammattitaitoa. Oppia tutkimaan ja sanallistamaan ohjaajan työtä taiteen tekemisen prosessissa sekä erittelemään erilaisia nykyteatterin tekemisen työmenetelmiä ja välineitä. Opinnäytetyön pyrkimyksenä on myös rakentaa ja vahvistaa tekijän esittävän taiteen ammatti-identiteettiä. The present thesis examines and analyzes the methods and ways of working, in the field of performing arts that the student developed during her studies. This research focuses on the creative process of making art from the concept to the performance and the group creative process by analyzing the creation of one performance created using the method of devised theatre. The author chose devised theatre as the working method, because it highlights the importance of process, creation from the group and expressing the multiple voices of the group. The devised theatre allows the creation of art which expresses the subject and allows a group to make collective performing art. This thesis also includes the performance named CRY. This is first explained by words and pictures from the performance, and then signs and symbols from different scenes are analyzed from the perspective of the director. Finally, the use of various stimulus materials and theatrical methods in creating different scenes is explained. The CRY- performance was a modern, multi-media theater performance created by various artists from different artistic fields, which was presented five times at the Helsinki Zodiak Centre for New Dance Studio. CRY was based on the Karelian laments and a tradition of voice crying. The performance focused on researching crying in a modern society and how this tradition could live in a non-Karelian modern man's life and experiences and what laments would be when they meet contemporary culture and multimedia and contemporary theater working methods. The author also examined if their work was compatible with the tradition of lamentation and could lamentation be taken into a modern multimedia theatre performance. The purpose of this study is to develop professional skills by using work methods of the contemporary theatre. A further aim was learn to examine the creative process and to express both the process and the result in written words. This thesis aims to build and strengthen the author's professional identity in the field of performing arts.
