| Summary: | Kaikille Suomessa asuville tulee turvata samat turvallisuuspalvelut asuinpaikasta huolimatta. Pääsääntöisesti resursseja on varattu enemmän tiheämmin asutuille alueille, jolloin harvemmin asutuilla alueilla esimerkiksi pelastustoimen päätoimista henkilöstöä on vähemmän. Näillä alueilla palvelujen tuottamisessa korostuukin yhteistyö eri viranomaisten sekä toimijoiden kesken. Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli selvittää pelastustoimen ja ensihoidon yhteistyön nykytilannetta, haasteita ja kehittämistarpeita Pohjois-Karjalassa, Keski-Karjalan palvelualueella. Työssä käsiteltiin yhteistyötä ainoastaan alueella päätoimisesti työskentelevän henkilöstön kesken. Työn teoriaosiossa käsiteltiin lyhyesti Keski-Karjalan alueen pelastustoimen ja ensihoidon järjestämistä, johtajuuden määräytymistä tehtävillä sekä alueen henkilöstön nykyistä koulutustasoa ja harjoittelua. Työssä on lisäksi esitetty tilastoja pelastustoimen ja ensihoidon yhteisten tehtävien määristä. Opinnäytetyöhön kuuluva kvalitatiivinen eli laadullinen tutkimus toteutettiin teemahaastatteluilla kesä–syyskuussa 2016. Tutkimukseen osallistui pelastustoimen ja ensihoidon henkilöstöä Keski-Karjalan alueelta. Tutkimuksen perusteella pelastustoimen ja ensihoidon yhteistyön on koettu olevan hyvällä tasolla. Tutkimuksessa nousi kuitenkin esille muutamia asioita, joilla yhteistyötä voitaisiin kehittää. Tutkimuksen tuloksia voidaan pääsääntöisesti hyödyntää Keski-Karjalan alueella järjestettävien koulutuksien ja harjoituksien suunniteluissa. All the citizen who live in Finland must be ensured the same social security services regardless of their place of residence. In populous areas the resources of a fire brigade are usually larger than in sparsely populated areas, for example, there are smaller amounts of permanent employees in the fire brigade. In these sparsely populated areas the cooperation between different authorities and operators is vitally important. The aim of this final project was to research the cooperation of the emergency services and emergency care in North Karelia in the region of Central Karelia. The main purpose was to study the current situation of cooperation, current challenges and the challenges of the future. The theoretical part explains how the emergency services and emergency care are produced in the region of Central Karelia, who is in charge of different emergency situations and the current level of education and training in the region. Also, statistics on common joint tasks of the emergency services and emergency care are presented. The research was made using a qualitative research method. Theme interviews were carried out during June-September in 2016. The subjects of the research consisted of employees of rescue department. The research showed that the cooperation was generally on a good level but there were some points which are complicated in the cooperation. The findings of this study can be used mainly in the education and training planning in the region of Central Karelia.
