Summary:p. 347-352. The Ingleside sand is a Pleistocene unit which crops out along the mainland margin of the Texas coast from Pass Cavallo to Baffin Bay. This sand body is a thin blanket of shoreface and eolian sediments, deposited as an extensive strandplain sand sheet, which extends into the subsurface under the Holocene barrier islands and lies directly on an oxidized surface of older pleistocene deltaic sediments.
