Description
Summary:Vertical bars represent the stratigraphic ranges of named morphospecies. Horizontal lines represent supposed ‘evolutionary’ relationships between morphospecies. Grey shading represents apparent intergradation between morphospecies. Stars represent lineage cladogenetic events: 1, when Pulleniatina primalis diverged from Neogloboquadrina acostaensis and 2, when the spectabilis lineage diverged from the main lineage. ‘Ext.’ represents extinction of the spectabilis lineage. Biostratigraphic zones and events are from the compilation of Ref [ 39 ]. Foraminifer sketches show typical specimens in apertural view, to scale.
