The Nordics have high societal living standards, educational attainment, and consumption-based carbon footprints per capita. However, they show relatively low adaptation to effective climate mitigation policies and practices. Climate literacy is studied to understand those obstacles to pro-climate behavior and how it affects behavior with cognitive engagement and responsibility attitudes in climate mitigation. Climate literacy also affects climate-sustainable self-perception of one's sustainable lifestyle and awareness, including sociodemographic factors. The study utilizes data from about 4,200 respondents from an online survey designed to research Nordic climate literacy and the respondents' engagement in climate change mitigation through personal actions. The statistical analysis was done with multilinear regression models for each country. Seeing how much the predictor variables explain behavior, the dependent variable. Sociodemographic factors, belief in climate change, climate literacy, and self-perception statistically explain 42.8% of pro-climate behavior. The climate literacy factors had the most impact across the Nordics. The variance between the countries was from 36% - 64% in the pro-climate behavior factor. The top-ranked acts by all Nordics included reducing meat consumption and consumption. Social norms, cultural habits, and political intervention can explain the difference between the Nordics. Promoting education, awareness campaigns, and integrated climate education is essential. A multifaceted approach is required to promote climate literacy and sustainability since it is critical for encouraging pro-climate behavior. Norðurlöndin, þ.e.
