Summary:This study examines the process of implementing a strategy with the 8-step Kotter process at a large consultancy firm in Iceland. The focus of the study is to evaluate the factors that have been successful in the process and what factors could be better. A qualitative case study was conducted to observe how the 8-step Kotter process was used to implement a strategy. The aim is to gain a better understanding of the process of implementing strategy and what benefits come with using the 8-step Kotter process. At the same time, the study is intended to increase understanding of the 8-step Kotter process and implementation of strategy at large consultancy firms. Í ritgerðinni er leitast eftir því að skoða innleiðingu stefnu með 8 skrefum Kotters í stóru ráðgjafarfyrirtæki á Íslandi. Í rannsókninni voru þeir þættir sem hafa gengið vel í ferlinu skoðaðir sem og þeir þættir sem betur mættu fara. Eigindleg tilviksrannsókn var framkvæmd til þess að rannsaka innleiðingu stefnu með 8 skrefum Kotters. Markmið ritgerðarinnar er að skoða hvaða kosti það hefur að innleiða stefnu með 8 skrefum Kotters og á sama tíma að dýpka skilning á innleiðingu stefnu í stórum ráðgjafarfyrirtækjum.
