As well as working with the ex-prisoners, he has been actively involved in the struggle for religious freedom inside prisons; his work focuses on bringing sweatlodge ceremonies inside/ Alicia Mercurio- Worked with both the BC and Alberta Human Rights Commision [sic], former coordinator for the First Nations Program at Matsqui Prison/ Denni Dube- Native liaison councellor [sic] at the BurnabyCorrectional [sic] Centre for Women/ VIDEO Shasta Woman- The Story Of Norma Jean Croy- She is a First Nations Woman serving a life sentence in a US prison. Although she never fired a weapon Norma Croy was charged with the first degree murder of a cop. To this day the courts have refused to hear evidence of her innocence/ ADMIT NOTHING PAY AT THE DOOR/ THURSDAY APRIL 6TH AT 8:00PM LA QUENA COFFEEHOUSE 1111 COMMERCIAL DR./ proceeds will go to Books 2 Prisoners and the Norma Jean Croy defence fund |
