This pole was removed to Victoria in 1957 without the plaque, which had disappeared many years before, and now stands in the Museum of Anthropology at UBC. On the right, this short memorial pole depicted a seated human figure wearing a chief’s hat. This memorial pole was purchased by the Totem Pole Preservation Committee and moved to the Royal BC Museum, Victoria in 1957. |
