Transcribed from the Official Guide to the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition: ""The Alaska building, with its exhibits showing the varied resources of the Northland, is one of the big features of the fair. Alaska, Hawaii and the Philippines are represented at Seattle in a manner never dreamed of when the exposition was first suggested." Recipient: "Miss Kittie M. Lowell, Brasher Falls, St. Lawrence Co., N.Y." Message: "Your lovely postal rec'd. Cecil is much better, almost well. Very cold here this summer, [illegible] I'll go home soon. Yesterday had word of a girl friend I have not heard of nor seen for nearly twenty (20) years. She lives on Staten Island. Never expected to hear from her again. I saw this gold.
