Summary:Hotel Seward, which appears on the bottom left of the photo, opened at the same time as the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition in 1909. It served as the headquarters for members of the Arctic Club. The buildings past the Hotel Seward on the left are the Drexel Hotel, the Lyon Building (constructed in 1910), and the St. Charles Hotel and Apartments (constructed in 1911). The Coliseum Theater, opened in 1908, appears at the right. The name of the theater was changed to the Orpheum in the same year it opened and the building was demolished in 1911.
