Description
Summary:An occasional "visit" from enemies who "just don't know when to quit" "relieves the monotony, and gives us something new to cuss at." Carr sends news of Chet DeVore, Bill Stoll, and his brother John. After North Africa and Attu Island, they are getting "tired of waiting" for the next campaign. To "home folks" "whining" about rationing, he says "to try and struggle through, and we'll try to end the war as soon as possible." Lauren C. Post Box 2, Folder 4; note that "Southwest Pacific," as Carr writes, usually meant the Solomon Islands.
