Indeed there were two bakeries in the 200 block of Commerical in 1880, one of them being Strong's. That would put this location as being in the block between State & Court streets in downtown Salem. The men are dressed in white long-sleeved shirts and dark trousers and are pulling a piece of fire equipment. The date is ca 1886. |
