Summary:Estuary News is published quarterly by the Partnership for the Delaware Estuary, a private, nonprofit organization established in 1996. The Partnership leads collaborative and creative efforts to protect and enhance the Delaware Estuary and its tributaries for current and future generations. It is the home of the Delaware Estuary Program (DELEP), one of 28 national estuary programs. This Winter 2001 newsletter focuses on: the red knot; updates from DELEP; basics of a geographical information system (GIS); news from around the region; "The Great Swamp"; improvements to White Clay Creek State Park; stream assement in Ridley Creek Watershed; teachers resources; upcoming events; and historic Odessa. Vol. 11, No. 2, Winter 2001 Estuary News is published quarterly by the Partnership for the Delaware Estuary, Inc., under an assistance agreement (CE-993985-05-0) with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Purpose: To provide an open, informative dialogue on issues related to the Delaware Estuary Program.
