Summary:The article presents the results of a study of the institutional conditions meant to secure the social stability of the Russian North and Arctic regions. It describes the legal framework designed to regulate socio-labor relations, which (when combined with poor living conditions, the pace of development, and the sectoral structure of the regional economies) threatens the social stability of the territorial development of the Russian North and Arctic regions. The article explains the Russian government’s public policy priorities for improving the standard of living in the Russian North and Arctic regions.
