First case of swift Apus apus parasitising house martin Delichon urbicum

During summer 2013 a pair of house martins Delichon urbicum were found feeding a nestling swift Apus apus in a nest of their own species in the village of Esporles, Mallorca (Balearic Islands). The situation was monitored over the next few days until the swift left the nest.
