Description
Summary:The relationship between breeding probability and (a) the urban gradient from the full data set (estimate 0.58 ± 0.15 SE, χ 2 (n = 676) = 15.25, P < 0.001); and, (b) nest type (building with nest box versus other) in interaction with rainfall from the urban subset (including only nests with >40% urban cover; estimated interaction effect on the logit scale -0.71 ± 0.35 SE, χ 2 (n = 255) = 4.00, P = 0.046) [negative values: high precipitation (total sum of rain, number of rain days and rain intensity); positive values: low precipitation] during the courtship period based on predicted values of GLMM, 95% CIs in shaded grey.
