The purpose of the qualitative research was to assess the British Columbia Treaty Process from the lived experiences of First Nations leaders of British Columbia. The British Columbia Treaty Process is designed to address cross-cultural issues among the federal government of Canada, the provincial government of British Columbia, and British Columbia First Nations. The purpose of the qualitative research was to assess the effectiveness of the British Columbia Treaty Process from a First Nations perspective. The qualitative interview-style study generated reflections on the British Columbia Treaty Process from 20 First Nations leaders in British Columbia. The findings represent the perceptions of the British Columbia Treaty Process of 20 First Nations leaders in British Columbia. Findings indicate that British Columbia First Nations leaders have concerns with respect to the British Columbia Treaty Process and its structure. The conclusions and details of the research are discussed.
