Summary:Attempt to comprehend figurative means – the pair combination of synonyms applied by writers in the Khanty prose and to understand the nature of its origin is for the first time given. Such reception is characteristic to the works of art written in the Khanty language. This means was widely adopted and in Russian-speaking literature of the Khanty writers. Впервые дана попытка осмыслить образное средство – парное сочетание синонимов, применяемое писателями в хантыйской прозе, и понять природу его происхождения. Такой прием характерен художественным произведениям, написанным на хантыйском языке. Широкое распространение это средство получило и в русскоязычной литературе хантыйских писателей.
