In this article the author states the timeliness of study of public policy phenomenon among the domestic political scientists. It is also noted that the western practice of study of this category is the basis for Russian theorists. Moreover the author points out that the factor of the study of regional public policy where the particular sociological studies prevail, is of the most interest. By the example of the study of Archangelsk region the author shows the paradoxes that can emerge in the conflict between theoretics and practice of such a study. В данной статье автор констатирует актуальность изучения феномена публичной политике среди отечественных ученых политологов. Так же отмечается, что основой для российских теоретиков является западная практика изучения этой категории. Кроме того, отмечается, что наибольший интерес представляет фактор изучения региональной публичной политики, в которой конкретные социологические исследования имеют приоритетное значение. На примере исследования в Архангельской области автор показывает какие парадоксы могут возникнуть при столкновении теории и практики подобного исследования.
