Summary: | The Waraeton pedocomplexe essentially consists in a humic lithofacies located at the top of the last interglacial soil complexe it attests from the continentalisation and cooling down occuring before the development of the pieniglacial loessic sedimentation. It can be subdivided into two units : the lower one belongs to the southern fringe of the boreal zonee and still correlated with the isotopic stage 5 and the upper one corresponds to subarctic or arctic environment correlated with stage 4. This complexe is not perfectly synchron : in some sites the lower or the upper unit are lonly preserved. Thanks to micromorphology several» organic faciès can be defined from their ecology on different substrata and throughout Europe. |
