On the basis of the real social structure the opposite seems more probable : Aleuts remain a culture of arctic hunters. Cet article étudie la relation de la culture aléoute avec son environnement original les Aléoutiennes. Celui-ci a-t-il induit une adaptation spécifique réussie différenciant les Aléoutes des peuples eskimaux ? Le niveau de la structure sociale réelle semble apporter une réponse négative : les Aléoutes demeurent une culture de chasseurs arctiques.
