Summary:Single specimens of Cryptocentrus shigensis Kuroda, 1956 (41.1 mm standard length: SL) and Priolepis profunda (Weber, 1909) (24.4 mm SL) represent the first specimen-supported records of those species from the Andaman Sea. Notably, the specimen of C. shigensis represents the first Indian Ocean record, the species having been previously recorded only from southern Japan and Palau.
