Dissolved Pb isotope composition (206Pb/204Pb, 206Pb/207Pb, 207Pb/204Pb, 208Pb/204Pb, 208Pb/207Pb) measured on pooled water samples from POLARSTERN cruise PS100 / GN05 (ARK-XXX/2)

This dataset contains measured ratios of dissolved (<0.2 µm) Pb isotope composition of pooled samples from ultra-clean CTD/Water sampler-system during GEOTRACES expedition GN05 (Polarstern PS100, ARK-XXX/2, 18 July - 9 September 2016). Description
Summary:This dataset contains measured ratios of dissolved (<0.2 µm) Pb isotope composition of pooled samples from ultra-clean CTD/Water sampler-system during GEOTRACES expedition GN05 (Polarstern PS100, ARK-XXX/2, 18 July - 9 September 2016). Samples were collected strictly following GEOTRACES guidelines (Cutter et al., 2017; https://www.geotraces.org) and were pooled based on Rudels et al., 2005 (doi:10.1016/j.jmarsys.2004.06.008) according to water mass properties in Fram Strait. Samples were analysed in the ISO class 6 clean rooms and the mass spectrometry facilities of the MAGIC Laboratories at Imperial College London via Multi-Collector Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (MC-ICP-MS) following the methodology described in Griffiths et al., 2020 (doi:10.1021/acs.analchem.0c01780). The uncertainty is reported as two standard errors of individual measurements via MC-ICP-MS (60 data acquisition cycles of 5 s each in three blocks). Data quality was assessed through standard reference material NST 981.
