Sherman Island Rapid Access Isotope Drill sample data on depth and age scale: stable water isotopes and major ion concentrations

Ice samples were drilled from Sherman Island, coastal West Antarctica, using the British Antarctic Survey Rapid Access Isotope Drill (RAID). The dataset contains the top and bottom depths of each sample with corresponding ages and an uncertainty estimate, and the chemical ion concentrations and stab...

Description
Summary:Ice samples were drilled from Sherman Island, coastal West Antarctica, using the British Antarctic Survey Rapid Access Isotope Drill (RAID). The dataset contains the top and bottom depths of each sample with corresponding ages and an uncertainty estimate, and the chemical ion concentrations and stable water isotope composition of each sample. The samples were dated using a combination of annual layer counting, identification of volcanic events, and modelling. The data extend to ~1200 years before present.
