Foraminifera bound nitrogen isotope values, biogenic silica mass accumulation, and abundance of N. pachyderma at IODP Site U1475, on the Agulhas Plateau, spanning the MPT (600 - 1200 ka)

Here we present polar foraminifera N. pachyderma abundances, biogenic silica mass accumulation rates, and foraminifera-bound nitrogen isotope values measured in planktonic foraminifera species G. bulloides and G. inflata in sediments collected on IODP Exp. 361, from Site U1475, on the Agulhas Platea...

Description
Summary:Here we present polar foraminifera N. pachyderma abundances, biogenic silica mass accumulation rates, and foraminifera-bound nitrogen isotope values measured in planktonic foraminifera species G. bulloides and G. inflata in sediments collected on IODP Exp. 361, from Site U1475, on the Agulhas Plateau, spanning the Mid-Pleistocene Transition (MPT; 600 - 1200 ka). This data is collected to assess the relative importance of migrations of the Subtropical Frontal Zone and Southern Ocean nutrient consumption on nutrient dynamics at Site 361-U1475, during the MPT.
