Syngenetic ice wedges and age of slope yedoma deposits in the foothills of the Kular Ridge

Description
Summary:The structure and composition of Late Pleistocene ice wedges in the ice complex outcropping onto gently sloping Kular ridge in the western Yana-Indigirka Lowland are considered. Ice wedges are dated 47-42 and 37-32 kyr BP. Over this time, relatively high temperatures of the growing season were recorded twice. Their rise appeared to be suffi cient for the growth of trees, while a relatively warm summer season activated slope processes and accumulation of slope yedoma deposits.
