Summary:Front: Script at bottom of postcard reads, "Eskimo Inn - 'Where Friends Meet' - Winona Lake, Indiana." Back: Body of message reads, "Tues. P.M. Dear Mother and Father, I sent two boxes and my laundry case by express this morning collect. I'm almost all packed up now. Iona left this morning, and quite a few others are leaving right along now. They keep open here until a week after Labor Day. Love, Marietta." Addressed to, "Mr. and Mrs. Marriel Moore, 1200 West Jefferson, Creston, Iowa." The postcard of the Eskimo Inn was sent to Marietta Moore to her parents in Creston Iowa. She states that she shipped items home including a laundry case. [before laudromats it was not uncommon to ship laundry home dirty and returned clean]. Marietta was a college student summer employee at Winona Lake. Marietta graduated from Wheaton College in 1943 with a degree in English and Latin. She was married in 1953 to Don Southwood. She died on April 1, 2005 in Iowa.
